Celebrate Historic B-Sedan racing at the Michigan Speedway on May 11th 1969. These series of pics involve the Brumos Porsche 911. Peter Gregg comes in for a pit stop. The car is being refueled by 2 team members - the one in the drivers suit (with a stripe on the pants) is co-driver Joe Buzzetta. As the tank filled up, fuel gushed from the filler can. This was typical back in the day. Note, nobody in fire proof clothing, Buzzetta’s loafers are soaked with gas. The Brumos car was a DNF after 34 laps. Parnelli won overall in a Bud Moore Mustang, Mark Donohue 2nd. U2L was won by Dick Smothers... yes the same Dicky Smothers of the very popular TV show The Smothers Brothers. Dick was a very good race driver. The car was owned and co driven by Fred Baker, a well known and very successful Porsche driver.
