Old e-Mail List is Expiring, Spread the Word

 

This is the last time we will use the old e-Mail list so if you wish to remain active with the Vintage 2.5 Challenge Series and have not signed up recently you will need to visit the website (www.vsrg.org) and use the Members link to signup.  

 

We are aware that many people have not gotten word of the revival of the Vintage 2.5 Challenge Series so whenever an opportunity presents itself please spread the word!

 

In the past few months we have heard from many people that did not participate in the first series that are now ready (or almost) to participate in 2008.  Since we were off to a late start this year we anticipate that the series momentum will not be in full swing for a few more months however it the past is any indicator for the future we should see our 20 plus car fields pretty quickly and would anticipate a large turnout for the Fontana event in June.

Willow Springs is our First Event of 2008

We are only a few days away from our first event of the year at Willow Springs.  We have a few members that have indicated they plan to attend and we will be there to support this first event.  The weather forecast is for an ideal weekend with highs in the upper 60's to low 70's under mostly sunny skies and the winds are predicted to be calm all weekend!  It should be a great weekend for racing in the high desert.

Recent Website Updates

 

During the past few weeks we have updated the website with two new features; a new shopping page and the "MySchedule" page.  The shopping page has only VSRG specific merchandise and during the next couple of months we will be extending the line to include hats, shop aprons and more.

 

The "MySchedule" feature allows you to indicate what races you plan to run from the current schedule.  This is a really simple page and should take less than a minute to complete.  Using this will assist us greatly in planning support for each event as well as allow us to post a potential entry list for each event.  To use this simply log into the member are and select the "MySchedule" link.  The page show below will be displayed.

You may update this page as often as needed.  Select either "Yes" or "No" to indicate your plans to enter each of the events listed.  Fill in or update your car information and select the class you plan to compete in.  

• If you filled in car and class info when you setup your login, that will be the default values when you initially setup your schedule.  You may change these as needed on this page but these changes do not change your member info.  If you want to change the default values, use the "My Info" link in the Members area.
• If you are unsure about the Class you should use, click the "Class Info ?" link near the top of the page to display the rules regarding classes, they are pretty simple.
